The Scoop – Lenox, MA

On our way back from our Cooperstown trip, we were craving some ice cream per usual. So while I drove, Samantha did a Google search and found The Scoop in Lenox, which had high ratings. It was a bit off the mass pike, but I would say it was well worth it.

Neither of us had ever been to Lenox, and all we really knew about Lenox was that Tanglewood was located there. When we got to Lenox it was super nice, quaint New England town – and a great summer destination with a summer feel with everyone either walking around or having dinner outside. Think Cape Cod town, but in Western Mass.

Although the Scoop added half an hour of driving to our trip, it was well worth it! Their delicious homemade ice cream and baked goods were far from a disappointment, and it’s no wonder why this Ice Cream Shop had such great ratings online. They have unique ice cream flavors available that rotate seasonally, that are hard to find elsewhere – we’re talking flavors like Banana Pudding, Blueberry-Ginger, and Bourbon Caramel.

After much deliberation, we went with a Nutella Oreo shake (Nutella and Oreos are a deadly combination in the best way), and Molten Chocolate, a rich and fudgyΒ chocolate flavor that basically tasted like the inside of a chocolate lava cake, but frozen somehow.

Inside the shop, there’s plenty of seating, including tables and even a few sofas. It wasn’t too crowded when we went, and we were able to grab a couch shortly after getting our order when another party left.Β There’s also seating outside on the porch, near the entrance to the shop.

If you ever find yourself in Lenox, or if you were like us and want to break up your drive on the Mass Pike, give The Scoop a try! We give it a 10/10, would recommend to a friend.
